Responding to the land donation campaign launched by the commune, 77 households in Yen Phu 1 and Yen Phu 2 villages voluntarily donated land and dismantled structures to expand more than 1,700 meters of internal village roads. From a narrow road only 3 meters wide, the route has now been widened to 8.1 meters, with a solid concrete surface of 5.5 meters, creating favorable conditions for the socio-economic development of the locality. After more than a month of intensive construction, the road has been completed, wide, airy, clean, and beautiful. At the inauguration ceremony, the people of Yen Phu 1 and Yen Phu 2 villages beamed with joy, affirming that it is a road of faith, consensus and aspiration for progress.
The movement to donate land for road construction is not only being strongly supported in Yen Phu, but also in many other villages. In Doan Ket village, Mr. Trinh Van Binh’s family was the first to voluntarily donate land and dismantle their sturdy gate and fence, totaling over 170 meters in length, in order to expand the main road connecting from National Highway 25, passing through Doan Ket, Diem 9, Bon Mi Hoan villages, leading to the resettlement area for 180 households, which is being built to provide permanent housing for those affected by natural disasters and floods. This spirit of collaboration has created a strong ripple effect, building on the achievements of the 22 roads that have been expanded in 7 villages in recent times, contributing to changing the face of rural Ia Hiao, making it increasingly more spacious, clean and modern. The new road has become a bridge connecting the community, helping people to become more closely bonded and united in the process of building their homeland.
Foundation for sustainable development
Pham Van Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ia Hiao commune, said that the completion of the roads is the result of the joint efforts and unity of the Party Committee, the government and the people. These routes hold immense value for the lives of the local people. The wide, well-maintained road has made travel more convenient and opened up new development opportunities for the entire community. Transporting agricultural products and goods on new roads not only speeds up the process, saves costs, improving production efficiency and expanding consumer markets, but also contributing to improving the quality of social life. Children can go to school more safely and people have easier access to health and cultural services. The new road, combined with the villagers' awareness of maintaining hygiene, has created a bright, green, clean and beautiful appearance for the village. The living space becomes airy and clean, contributing to the formation of a civilized and modern living environment while still retaining the simple charm of the countryside.
In the early spring sunshine, the new, wide, clean roads promise a future of continued prosperity, rapid and sustainable development for Ia Hiao, so that every citizen can enjoy the fruits of the community’s collective efforts and unity. These roads, reflecting the will of the Party and the aspirations of the people, are concrete evidence of the principle “the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, and the people benefit”.
