(DTTG) - On your journey to Lung Cu commune - the northernmost point of Vietnam - for the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026, remember to stop at Lo Lo Chai - a village recently honored as the Best Tourist Village in the World - and treat yourself to a night’s stay at Danh House to fully enjoy the spring atmosphere of the border region.

At Danh House, you only need to stand in the courtyard and spin around, and the entire Lung Cu (Tuyen Quang province) seems to belong to you. To the north is a surreal spiritual location, the perfect spot to visit Lung Cu pagoda and experience the tranquility amidst the sacred, serene space. Turning east, you’ll see the National Flagpole. A natural surge of patriotism washes over you as you gaze at the red flag with a yellow star fluttering atop Dragon Mountain in the morning sunlight. Looking west, the Lo Lo Chai village lies within view. This view is perfect for those who love the peaceful rhythm of life, with the smoke from the kitchen fires drifting over the traditional houses of the Lo Lo people. Looking south, you’ll be overwhelmed by the majestic, towering mountain ranges, making you feel small yet proud amidst the vast, free-spirited nature.

Dảnh House is not simply a resort, it is an architectural and cultural masterpiece designed with inspiration from bronze drums -a national treasure and a sacred spiritual symbol of the Lo Lo people. The Lo Lo people consider bronze drums sacred objects, a bridge connecting humans and deities. Danh House was created to tell that story through every architectural detail, every carved pattern on the earthen walls and every small corner where nature blends with humanity. The owner of Dảnh House chose bronze drums as the core of the design, following the motto: “Using culture to develop tourism - Using tourism to preserve culture”, transforming each bungalow into a “mini-museum” telling the story of its origins.

Danh House consists of bungalows designed to resemble a pair of bronze drums. In the Lo Lo language, “Danh” means bronze drum. The single rooms are named Danh Po (male drum). The double rooms are named Danh Mo (female drum). This is a subtle way for guests to “sleep with” the heritage, gaining a deeper understanding of the historical and spiritual significance of bronze drums in the lives of the Lo Lo people. The bungalows are built with clay and traditional binding materials, with interiors paneled in natural pine wood and equipped with modern amenities, equivalent to a 3-star hotel standard. In late November 2025, Dảnh House was recognized by the National Record Organization as “The first homestay in Vietnam to design bungalow rooms modeled after the pair of bronze drums of the Lo Lo people”. This is a major milestone marking the official recognition by experts of this contemporary architectural model, where the cultural values of an ethnic group are subtly translated into a modern accommodation space.

Guests at Danh House are always impressed by the stunning contrast between the majestic natural landscape and the architecture steeped in cultural identity. In a context where community-based tourism is increasingly becoming the choice for travelers seeking a slower pace of life and cultural experiences, Danh House emerges as a romantic and culturally rich destination. Many couples choose this place to celebrate special anniversaries, because Danh House offers a perfect day surrounded by nature and culture, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, where every corner of the garden is a peaceful picture and every step is a delicate discovery.

An Italian architect who once visited this place left a profound observation: “Danh House is a prime example of contemporary local architecture - where highland cultural values are subtly adapted into modern accommodation spaces. When a building taps into the national pride and cultural curiosity of tourists through its modern architectural language, it naturally creates an appeal without the need for elaborate decorations. I think Danh will attract even more visitors in the future”.

If we had to name it, Danh House is the “pause button” for a fast-paced life. Just a gentle touch and you’ll see: slow living isn't boring, but rather a kind of privilege. A cool morning at Danh House is the perfect combination of the majestic, unspoiled beauty of the northern mountains with the warmth and uniqueness of the Lo Lo ethnic culture. Danh House has chosen a path rooted in culture, leveraging its unique identity as a competitive advantage. This model demonstrates that when heritage is properly preserved, it not only sustains but also creates livelihoods and a natural attraction for the community. Therefore, when you travel to the far north this spring, remember to visit Danh House to fully enjoy the springtime atmosphere of the border region./,
