(DTTG) - Abstract: The Law on Belief and Religion of 2026 (Law No. 07/2026/QH16) marks a significant step forward in refining the framework for state management and ensuring the right to freedom of belief and religion, in alignment with the digital era. In particular, Article 14 which addresses the representatives and management boards of places of worship, further reinforces the role of the “local community” as the primary subject. However, hostile forces have propagated various distorted claims regarding this provision, baselessly accusing the State of imposing administrative control over spiritual activities and stripping citizens of their autonomy. This article analyzes the legal substance of Article 14, identifies the tactics used to misrepresent it, and proposes measures to counter and refute such claims.

(DTTG) - Abstract: Religion is a form of social consciousness that exerts a widespread and profound influence on the spiritual life of the people. In Vietnam, the diversity of religious traditions and beliefs serves as a vivid testament to a nation rich in cultural identity. However, the issue of religion has consistently been a primary focus exploited by hostile forces to advance their “peaceful evolution” strategy, smear the political system, and incite divisions within the great national unity. This article aims to systematically identify common, distorted narratives ranging from false allegations that the State suppresses religion to the administrative and political manipulation of routine spiritual activities. On this basis, the author provides an in-depth analysis of the scientific, legal, and practical foundations of religious life in Vietnam to directly refute these claims. Furthermore, the article proposes a comprehensive set of solutions ranging from the refinement of legislation and state management to external communication efforts aimed at firmly safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation while ensuring the people’s legitimate right to freedom of belief and religion.
