Abstract: This article analyzes the role of Buddhism in social development in Gia Lai province - a unique area of the Central Highlands region, based on the Summary Report on Buddhist Activities for the 2022-2026 term of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Gia Lai province. This article clarifies the contributions of Buddhism in various aspects: social welfare, moral education, community cultural development and participation in social governance. The research results show that Buddhism is not only a religious institution but also an important social agent, contributing positively to sustainable development at the local level.
