Abstract: This article focuses on analyzing the requirements for linking sustainable socio-economic development with ensuring security and national defense in the Central Highlands region in the context of deep international integration. Based on an analysis of the region's geopolitical position, economic potential, and socio-cultural characteristics, this study clarifies the dialectical relationship between development and protection, particularly in the face of new challenges such as resource depletion, climate change, non-traditional security threats and the impact of regional strategic competition. Therefore, the article points out the limitations in the coordination mechanism for development and protection, and proposes a system of solutions to strengthen governance capacity, consolidate the national defense and security posture and ensure sustainable development and long-term stability in the Central Highlands region.

(DTTG) - Abstract: Promoting the role of ethnic minority communities in the economic development of mountainous regions is a key requirement to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth in the current context. Ethnic minority communities are not only beneficiaries of policies, but also possess important endogenous resources such as local knowledge, production experience, social capital and unique cultural values. This research adopts a community-based development approach, analyzing the role of ethnic minority communities in organizing production, managing and sustainably exploiting resources, as well as participating in the economic value chain of mountainous regions. Based on an assessment of the current situation and the challenges faced, this article emphasizes the need to shift from a support and subsidy-based approach to an approach that empowers, enhances capacity and unleashes the inherent potential of the community. Thus, the research contributes to providing scientific arguments for the planning of sustainable economic development policies for mountainous regions, with ethnic minority communities at the center.
