Abstract: The worship of the village tutelary deity (Thanh hoang lang) is considered a distinctive cultural belief of the people in the Northern Delta region, strongly reflecting the culture of the inhabitants who traditionally practice wet rice farming. On the one hand, the worship of the village tutelary deity has satisfied spiritual and cultural needs and on the other hand, contributed to preserving traditional national values. The worship of the village tutelary deity has become a symbolic cultural feature of many localities in Northern Vietnam. Currently, under the influence of the market economy and foreign cultures, although preserved and promoted by the people, some aspects and forms of the worship of the village tutelary deity have been distorted and are gradually disappearing. For example, the commercialization of temple and pagoda festivals dilutes cultural values; the restoration of facilities is wasteful and destroys the beauty of ancient architecture; and superstitious practices directly affect the material and spiritual lives of the people... The above situation necessitates that leaders, managers and local people apply solutions to effectively promote the positive aspects and mitigate the negative impacts of the distortions in the current worship of the village tutelary deity.

Abstract: This article focuses on the political, legal and practical foundations from the perspective of adhering to and continuing to fully institutionalize the Party’s guidelines and policies on widely promoting socialist democracy, the people’s right to self-governance and ensuring freedom of belief and religion; Ensuring the constitutionality, legality, and consistency of the legal system, as well as its compatibility with relevant international treaties to which Vietnam is a signatory, while simultaneously addressing the limitations and shortcomings in the implementation of the Law on Beliefs and Religions No. 02/2016/QH14 (Law on Beliefs and Religions of 2016) in the past time.

Abstract: In a turbulent world, where material development has reached saturation point and the pressures of modern life weigh increasingly heavily on the human psyche, a powerful shift has emerged: the journey of introspection. No longer merely religious pilgrimages, spiritual tourism is emerging as a key economic sector, a multi-billion dollar “blue ocean” offering opportunities for life-changing experiences for many countries, including Vietnam. However, behind the impressive growth figures, the challenge of balancing “economy” and “spirituality”, “profit” and “sacredness” is posing unprecedented obstacles. This article focuses on analyzing the current state and potential of spiritual tourism in Vietnam, since proposing strategic solutions to transform heritage into a sustainable economic resource, helping the tourism industry not only weather the storm but also achieve strong breakthroughs in the new era.
