(DTTG) - Abstract: Trải qua nhiều giai đoạn cách mạng nhưng chính sách đối nội của Việt Nam luôn nhất quán: “Vấn đề dân tộc và đoàn kết dân tộc luôn luôn có vị trí chiến lược trong sự nghiệp cách mạng. Throughout various revolutionary periods, but Vietnam’s domestic policy has always been consistent: “The national question and national unity have always held a strategic position in the revolutionary cause. Implement the policy of ethnic equality, solidarity and mutual assistance for common development effectively”. In terms of foreign relations, Vietnam actively participates in international conventions on human rights, including the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination (CERD). This article focuses on analyzing and clarifying the consistent vision in Vietnam’s domestic and foreign policies regarding the protection of the rights of ethnic minorities.

(DTTG) - Abstract: Vietnam is a country with a long-standing cultural tradition, rich national identity, and a diverse and vibrant religious life with approximately 27.7 million followers, accounting for over 27.7% of the country’s population. People of all religions are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation; therefore, ensuring the freedom of belief and religion for all is always a consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State, to be the core element in uniting people of all religions within the great national unity, making a significant contribution to the building and development of the country. This consistency has fostered trust, forming the basis for uniting people of all religions and firmly consolidating national unity.

Human rights in the law on belief, religion and mechanisms for protecting those rights

(DTTG) - Abstract: On November 18th, 2016, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam passed the Law on Beliefs and Religions; on December 30th, 2017, the Government issued Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP detailing some articles and measures for the implementation of the Law on Beliefs and Religions (Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP); on December 29th, 2023, the Government issued Decree No. 95/2023/ND-CP detailing some provisions and measures for the implementation of the Law on Beliefs and Religions (replacing Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP). These documents all contain provisions on freedom of belief and religion, one of the fundamental human rights enshrined in the Constitution. Within the scope of this article, the author would like to provide an overview of human rights in the Law on Belief and Religion, focusing on the rights to freedom of belief, religion and the mechanisms for ensuring the implementation of these rights.
