Abstract: Throughout history, from the early states to the current period of reform and international integration, unity has always been the source of national strength and the decisive factor in all victories in the cause of building, protecting, and developing the country. This article analyzes the characteristics of national unity, from political consensus and unity of will within the political system to cultural and social cohesion among ethnic communities. At the same time, it also clarifies the need to strengthen unity in the context of globalization, in order to ensure sustainable development and safeguard national sovereignty.

Abstract: Vietnam is a multi-religious country. Throughout the nation's history, religions have made contributions in many aspects, most notably in culture and ethics. Cultural and religious values have contributed to shaping the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation. The contribution of religion in each historical period depends largely on how the State views and treats religion, and the attitudes of the religions themselves.

Abstract: On March 4th, 2026, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) released its “Annual Report on the State of International Religious Freedom in 2025,” with negative assessments of the religious freedom situation in Vietnam. Similar to previous reports, in its report on religious freedom in Vietnam, USCIRF continues to make biased assessments based on inaccurate and one-sided information, aiming to interfere in internal affairs and undermine Vietnam’s reputation internationally. Approaching from the perspective of religious freedom, this article presents some findings reflecting Vietnam’s efforts to demonstrate respect for and guarantee this right over the past eight years of implementing the Law on Religion and Belief. These achievements completely refute the erroneous and ill-intentioned assessments of US CIRF regarding religious freedom in Vietnam.

(DTTG) - Abstract: In the context of implementing ethnic policies towards integration and sustainable development, reforming the socio-economic governance methods of ethnic minority and mountainous areas has become an urgent requirement. This research focuses on clarifying the theoretical and practical basis of the transition from an administrative management model to a dynamic, modern, people-centered and community-based development management model. Based on an analysis of the limitations of traditional governance methods, this article emphasizes the significance of governance innovation in improving policy effectiveness, enhancing integration, coherence and uniformity, promoting inclusive development and narrowing regional disparities. At the same time, the research affirms that innovation in governance methods is not only a technical requirement but also a shift in development thinking, contributing to strengthening national unity and ensuring sustainable development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the current period.

(DTTG) - Abstract: This research focuses on analyzing the pivotal role of the Cham community in the development of Halal tourism in Vietnam. With their advantage of Islamic religious life, unique cultural values, local knowledge and experience in practicing Halal standards, the Cham community plays a key role in the formation, operation and assurance of the authenticity of Halal tourism products. Through a community-based development approach, this article clarifies the contributions of the Cham community in service provision, cultural identity preservation and participation in tourism governance. Based on this, the author discusses the need to place the Cham community at the center of the Halal tourism development strategy, aiming to both promote local economic development and preserve and promote cultural and religious values ​​in the context of current integration.

(DTTG) - Abstract: The worship of Mother Goddess is a folk belief that has existed for a long time, clearly reflecting the characteristics of Vietnam’s rice-farming culture. Regarding its origins, some researchers believe that the worship of Mother Goddess dates back to prehistoric times when the Vietnamese people worshipped natural deities combined with the highly developed belief in female deities in a matriarchal society (referring to female deities as Mother, Mau, Me), through the process of cultural transformation, the image of natural deities shifted to that of human deities. The worship of the Mother Goddess as an idol with the powers of procreation and protection for humanity of the worship belief of the Mother Goddess has helped this belief system easily integrate into folk life, taking deep root in society and the spiritual lives of each individual.

(DTTG) - This article focuses on analyzing the achievements, challenges and directions for improving ethnic policies in the new era, a period where the spirit of national self-reliance combined with deep international integration demands both respect for cultural identity and the promotion of comprehensive development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
