From a socio-cultural perspective, these rituals are bonds that unite the community, expressions of gratitude to nature and aspirations for a prosperous life preserved through generations.
(DTTG) - This Tet holiday, we invite you to Cao Bang to enjoy the Cooc mo cake of the Tay people. In the local language, “mo” means “bo”. Therefore, Cooc mo cake is also known as cow horn cake.

This is not only a humanitarian field, reflecting the good nature of our regime, but also a pillar of sustainable development, contributing to strengthening national unity and narrowing the development gap between areas and ethnic groups. Current ethnic affairs should be viewed as a driving force for the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in a modern direction, linking to the preservation of cultural identity, ensuring national defense and security and enhancing the capacity for international integration. Rethinking, improving institutions, leveraging community strengths and applying science and technology are urgent requirements to affirm the position and role of ethnic affairs in the era of national resurgence.
(DTTG) - Pao ball throwing is a unique folk game of the Mong people, often played during festivals, holidays and spring markets in the highlands. The tossed pao balls not only carry the joy of the spring festival but also convey aspirations for romantic love, community cohesion and the beauty of culture preserved through generations.
(DTTG) - The history of Kien An Cung is closely linked to the migration of Chinese people of Fujian origin to the former Sa Dec area in Dong Thap province. Kien An Cung was started in 1924 and completed in 1927, in order to worship ancestors and in order to unite the Chinese community in the area. The name of Kien An Cung carries a profound humanistic meaning: Kiến means establishment; An means peace; Cung means temple - it is a prayer for a peaceful and prosperous life in the new land.
(DTTG) - Abstract: This article focuses on analyzing the outstanding achievements of Vietnam’s ethnic policy in recent decades, especially from the renovation period to the present. Through this, the author clarifies the positive changes in the socio-economic, cultural and educational lives of ethnic minority communities. However, in the context of a new era with many challenges, such as digital transformation, climate change, international integration and sustainable development,… ethnic policies are facing many issues that need further improvement. This article outlines the challenges and proposing several directions to improve the effectiveness of ethnic policies in the coming period.
(DTTG) - In the festive atmosphere leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, many ethnic boarding and semi-boarding schools organized experiential activities full of spring spirit, such as: wrapping chung cakes (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), making candies and jams and cooking traditional dishes. Through these activities, pupils not only get to enjoy the spring and celebrate Tet holidays (Vietnamese New Year) early but also gaining a deeper understanding of the traditional cultural values of the nation.
(DTTG) - In the days leading up to Tet holiday, when farming work temporarily subsides, the ethnic minority people in the highlands of Nghe An are busy preparing to celebrate the traditional New Year. Every household cleans and tidies up the ancestral altar, dries rice, prepares firewood… The spring atmosphere spreads, creating a warm and peaceful scene between the vast forest.
(DTTG) - In An Giang province, all Cham people are Islam believers. They believe solely in Allah and the Prophet Muhammad. The Kinh Qur‘an of Islam not only contains all Islamic teachings but also encompassing principles of social organization, law and morality. Therefore, all aspects of the material, cultural, spiritual life and customs of the Cham people, in addition to complying with the laws of the State must also adhere to the five fundamental tenets of Islamic law.

15:57, 10/03/2026 (DTTG) - Abstract: Preserving the cultural identity of indigenous ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands region in the context of poverty reduction is both an urgent and a long-term strategic issue. This article analyzes the relationship between cultural identity preservation and poverty reduction in the local ethnic minority communities of the Central Highlands. Based on the theory of sustainable development and the role of culture as an endogenous resource, this article shows that integrating cultural elements into poverty reduction programs not only helps improve economic efficiency but also strengthens self-reliance, identity and community cohesion. Based on a research of several local models, this article proposes policy solutions to promote an integrated approach between culture and development, centered on the community, aiming for sustainable development in the ethnic minority areas of the Central Highlands.
(DTTG) - A livelihood model that combines ethnic knowledge and creative abilities is paving the way for the Khmer people in South (Vietnam) to develop a sustainable economy and remain connected to their homeland.
